Following video is the one I made for, and presented in, the exhibition 'Space Forms', October of 2007 in Alkmaar, the Netherlands. The exhibition took place in the old cheese factory 'Kunsteyssen'. For many years it wasn't in use, and held a temporary Art projectspace.
The history of the building itself, and also the surrounding houses and buildings is used in the video. I juxtaposed, on the right side, a girl wearing traditional 'West Frisian' clothes from approximately 1900, talking with, on the left side, the same girl wearing modern clothes. With this I aimed to communicate the feeling of longing to be in a different era, like 1900, that I had when I looked out of the window of the cheesefactory onto the old house below.

I made this video during my stay in Marrakech, Morocco February 2008. I combined texts from Haruki Murakami, Sarah Ahmed in 'Queer Phenomenology' and myself.

This video, called 'Dialogue', I made a few years ago in 2006. I was reading a lot of Beckett at that time, so I guess I got inspired by that a bit as well...
